Yan Palace, Hong Lim Complex, Chinatown.

Yan Palace (Blk 531 Upper Cross Street #01-49 Hong Lim Complex) is the kind of Chinese restaurant that I used to go to as a child in the early 1980s to attend grand wedding dinners. They still have the raised stage and the fake wedding cake, AND exactly the sort of baby chairs that I used to sit in!

Oh I have been told that their dim sum is pretty good too. 

The Ship Restaurant.

Located at #04-34 at Shaw Centre, I love the nostalgic nautical decor, especially the crockery. This restaurant has been here since the 1970s and from the looks of it, I'd guess nothing has been changed since then!

Audi Fashion Festival 2009 Part 4

This is the Little Red Dress that hansel made for the Singapore Heart Foundation charity project. It's actually our Big Bow Dress from the Fantastic Jurassic collection. 

Just for the show, Jimi sewed on ribbons onto the back of sheer stockings, for that added sense of movement on the catwalk.

Stopped blogging for a few days because I was having such a heavy workload! The Audi Fashion Festival, a new collection, a corporate project, a project with a fashion school... It can be a bit overwhelming at times! But back to my daily blogs! 

I have a number of snapshots from the AFF show that I will upload over the next couple of days.

hansel X Zai Sapari button badges.

Sometime ago, hansel's website designer Zai and I created a recycled sofa set for a major design exhibition with the theme "Utterubbish" and we made these adorable button badges to complement the merchandise that was sold at the exhibition. I love how we look like cartoon characters!

t43 for hansel.

My friend Serene Wong has a fantastic jewellery label called t43. She created these beautiful and highly unusual dinosaur skeleton inspired pieces to go with my Fantastic Jurassic collection which I will be showing at Audi Fashion Festival next Thursday. 

During fittings, we tried her neckpiece on two different outfits to see which one looks better. The great news is that she's making more for show! There's going to be this utterly fabulous bangle as well....
