A gift from Steve Madden.

I got a pick a pair of shoes for myself at the opening party of the Steve Madden store on the ground floor of Raffles City Shopping Centre. Am wearing them today with my grey hansel dress. A foot injury has rendered me high-heel-LESS for the rest of my life, so flatties and low heels are the way to go!

Holidays at Rayavadee!

YES I have been loving my mini-luxe holidays - this time it's at Rayavadee in Krabi, Thailand. The resort is accessible only by boat and upon arrival, I'm given a map of the property in case I felt an urge to be active and explore the area.

The surroundings have amazing limestone mountains and caves that attract avid rock climbers.

I did a touch of hiking but spent almost all my time just being still and LAZING within the round-shaped two-storey villa that reminded me alot of a Smurf's mushroom home.

Each evening, I LOVE it when I open the door to the cool air conditioned living room with its swing sofa suspended from the circular ceiling. SO cosy and inviting. Mmm...

My lazy day meals were mostly cookies with red wine...

Or a book with herbal teas...

Or fresh fruit and more fresh fruit.
Ah! Lovely!

Crazy cool cakes!

Got a flyer on cakes in the mailbox today - the Barbie-in-a-cake ones are fascinating but the Games Cakes with the cash and coins and lottery tickets take the cake! (How could I resist the pun?) They are from ecreative.

Tanjong Pagar railway station.

I briefly blogged about the Tanjong Pagar railway station before, but this time instead of speeding past on my morning bus ride, I was actually doing a photoshoot inside for the Sydney-based habitus magazine. As the plot will soon be handed from Malaysia to Singapore, I take these snaps in preparation for a before/after comparison. I love that you can dine on the platform right by the train tracks!

Model maker's workshop.

Sometimes I come across really unusual places in Singapore. This model maker's workshop is chockablock with molds for mannequins (even ones with retro style hair), furniture and even a gigantic Batman!
