My half-Penangnite friend Sara clued me in on China House. Made up of 3 heritage buildings joined together, it houses a cafe, bar, bakery, private dining, art galleries, and was a place that we went to everyday during our 3 day stay, to sit, rest, eat and read.
The space has entrances on two different streets, so you enter on one street and emerge the other end on another street!
Their Tiramisu cake seemed to be the most popular but I went for the Coconut and Lemon Curd Cake which was REALLY REALLY delicious!
A leafy central courtyard.
Art galleries on the second floor space.
From the second floor, you can clearly see how they joined the once-neighbouring houses together.
And ping! You emerge into another street!
