I was made IP Ambassador on World IP Day!

This is a way overdue post considering that it all happened early in 2014, but here it is!

Michelle Chong and I were made IP Ambassadors on World IP Day! Yay! What an honour!

Just before that announcement, I judged and mentored a student design competition in search for staff uniforms for IPOS' new IP 101 service centre at Manulife Centre on Bras Basah Road. The service centre is a one-stop service centre where you can get all your queries on IP (Intellectual Property) answered.

The winning team came from LaSalle College of the Arts. I liked the simplicity, wearability and potential for use as daily uniforms for the IP staff. I spent time mentoring the winning team of students to translate their submission designs into working technical drawings for the tailors to then produce custom prototypes from. Practical issues were discussed, fabrics were selected and rejected, then re-selected again. Accessories and styling were finalised.

The custom made winning designs as modelled by IPOS staff at the launch of the new IP 101 service centre.

A group shot with the design student winners from LaSalle, together with their lecturers, and Ms Indranee Rajah who was the Guest of Honour for the IP 101 opening ceremony.

My parting shot of the IP staff modelling the winning uniform designs. These guys were really lovely to work with!
